Writing in a journal is one of the best ways to express yourself. You can write about things in your life that made you sad, angry, happy, grateful, and more.

More than that, you can use a journal to think and reflect on ideas that you never considered before. Like the past, the future, and most of all, yourself. I love to use my journal this way, and the way I do it is by writing in my journal according to journal prompts.

Today I’m sharing 15 journaling prompts to encourage journal writing and reflection about self-love, self-care, self-acceptance, and self-confidence.

There are so many things that can trigger your negative inner voice, especially about yourself, and I think it is important to partake in activities, like journaling, that encourage positive self-talk. No one is immune to feelings of negativity and hating or judging themselves.

All we can do is listen to these innermost, negative thoughts we have. Hear them, and then let them go. They’re only visitors. I know it is easier said than done, but cultivating a creative hobby like journaling can help you to focus more on your self-care and self-love.

If you’re seeking some journal inspiration for self-love, check out the 15 prompts listed below.

1. Write 10-15 compliments about yourself. Consider every detail. Even the smallest ones can make a big difference.
